As I mentioned in my last post, I am helping to organise a Charity Event to raise funds for the victims of the Japan Tsunami. The event is the brainchild of Carol Alevroyianni who wanted to do something to help the victims of the disaster after watching the horrifying live webcasts shown as the tsunami hit Japan.
ZUMBAY will feature Worldbeaters, the Latin band who led the opening carnival parade for the Vamos festival last weekend, and the dancing will be led by ZIN qualified Agnieszka Davidson and Nikki Fothergill will run a half hour warm up for participants with DJ Steve Keys.
Tickets for the event are available from the Boardwalk Cafe in Whitley Bay and the Red Cross shops in Park View Whitley Bay and Nunn Street Newcastle.
Although Fathers Day I am hoping that lots of people will come along to the event and have some fun, dancing and listening to worldclass music.
